Seed & Smith is a premium cannabis brand in Denver, known for its elevated products and commitment to transparency. They partnered with COHN to refine their visual identity and launch a brand campaign that matched the care they put into every batch. From packaging concepts to outdoor ads, we brought new clarity and distinction to a brand already known for doing things the right way.

We began by uncovering what made Seed & Smith stand apart. Their product quality was exceptional, and their transparency, down to the breakdown of terpenes in each batch, was unmatched. But their visuals didn’t reflect that level of care. Our strategy centered on creating a brand experience that felt as thoughtful as the product itself. “Higher Expectations” became the foundation for the story, influencing tone, visuals, and messaging. We expanded the color palette to support richer storytelling and added flexibility across infographics, sell sheets, and campaign materials empowering the brand to communicate with both clarity and distinction.

Customers want to feel confident about what they’re consuming. When a brand is open about its process, it builds trust and, in turn, sets a higher standard for the entire category.
SOLUTION
We brought the idea of transparency to life through a layered, modern visual system. The double-exposure effect became a key expression, giving the brand a distinct look while reinforcing the clarity of its product and process. At the heart of the campaign was the line “All Smoke. No Mirrors.” This tagline captured the dual promise of Seed & Smith: uncompromising quality and full transparency. It became a creative anchor, supporting the visuals and sharpening the message. Characters featuring cannabis leaf profiles added personality and gave a subtle nod to cannabis culture without falling into cliché. The expanded color palette supported detailed communication tools, while the packaging direction leaned into a clean, cosmetic-inspired aesthetic. Everything worked together to create a visual language that felt elevated, intentional, and unmistakably Seed & Smith.

The refreshed brand gave Seed & Smith a new level of confidence in how they showed up in the market. The campaign was used across print and outdoor placements and marked the first time COHN was recognized with The 50 Award from Ad Club Colorado. More than just a visual upgrade, the work helped Seed & Smith reinforce its leadership in a fast-growing and competitive space.
