OVERVIEW
IOTAS was once a leader in the smart apartment industry but was falling behind to better-funded competitors. IOTAS needed to come out swinging with a brand refresh to help reclaim their throne as smart apartment innovators. My part consisted of creating a stunning new website that captivated the innovation they were once know for.


STRATEGY
Always the Innovator
The COHN strategy team conducted an in-depth analysis of the market, field research, and internal discovery. From these findings, they determined IOTAS was and still is *the* innovator in this space—and it was starting to act like it again. Once the personas and content strategy were in place, we were ready to execute content and website design that put IOTAS back in the game.
KEY INSIGHT
Only IOTAS can consistently deliver a custom smart home experience with proven ROI for multifamily owners, operators, and property managers—all while protecting residents’ data and pushing the limits of what’s possible.
SOLUTION
The entire project was part of a larger brand refresh that included positioning and persona development. To launch the new look and feel of their refreshed brand, we designed a new website that aligned with their innovative technology and industry-pioneer vibe. The project also included a UX strategy to map out user flows for both apartment owners and residents. The homepage scroll trigger is meant to immerse the user in the IOTAS brand. Detailing their methodical approach to smart apartment technology and customer support. The project also included designing custom icons and information design.








OUTCOME
Results that Matter
Not only was IOTAS thrilled with the site, but they also definitely caused the stir in the market they wanted. Shortly after the brand refresh, IOTAS caught the attention of ADT and was acquired soon after—a big win for the brand.
